Gan Aliyah Shabbat Club
Shabbat Club is a Jewish enrichment program on Friday afternoons for half-day kindergarten students. The program provides a creative and fun-filled way to learn about Jewish traditions and culture. For more information, please contact the Gan Aliyah Director, Bonne Boodman through our office or e-mail her at ganaliyah@templealiyah.com Shabbat and Holiday Youth Services
Students in kindergarten through grade 7 attend age-appropriate programs on the three days of the High Holidays (10:30-12:15), on some festivals and every Shabbat (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon) except when there is no Religious School the following day. (Please see School calendar for exact dates.)
Each service includes a tefillah component that encourages participation and prayer leading in small groups. The prayer service is followed by a story or a fun game or activity.
Once a month, we celebrate Shabbat Haverim. On that Shabbat, we offer a social hour from 10:00-11:00, services from 11:00-12:00. and a sundae party at 12:00.

Family Programming
Temple Aliyah offers Family Education (link to Family Education section) programming for families with children from birth through bar/bat mitzvah. Some programs are age-based, including Family Shabbat Services and Sunday programs that provide opportunities for parents to learn and teach with their children. Additional programs are community-based and include multi-age groups. Day School families are invited and encouraged to partake of any and all of the Family Education offerings. Family services and holiday programs should be of particular interest.
Please see the calendar of programs for the 2009-2010 school year (pdf).
Students with Learning or Special Needs
Temple Aliyah Religious School is an inclusive environment where students with a variety of abilities, orientations and needs can learn together and receive a quality Jewish education that is respectful of differences. We have two professionally trained special educators on staff: Dr. Beverly Schwartz-Katsh and Ms. Marion Green. If a student has an IEP or receives any accommodation in public school, we endeavor to provide a similarly appropriate situation here.
For further inquiry, please contact Dr. Bev in our office or by email: drbev@templealiyah.com.
