Abayudaya - The Jews of Uganda

Please join us as Rabbi Howard Gorin will take us on a journey to Africa, as he shares with us his exciting work with the Abayudaya, the Jews of Uganda. Rabbi Gorin, who has taught and worked with this special community, will share inspiring stories about our African Jewish brothers and sisters.

Temple Aliyah donated our “old” Hertz humashim to the Jewish community in Uganda, thus establishing a link with the Jews in this far-away land. Come learn about the customs and practices of the Abayudaya.
