Passover Preparation and Programs 2010

Pesach is celebrated this year from Monday evening, March 29 through Tuesday, April 6 with the Sedarim being held Monday and Tuesday evenings, March 29 and March 30.
 

Passover Services
 
Siyyum Ha B'chorim (The Fast of the First Born) services will be held on Monday morning, March 29 at 6:45am. Passover holiday services will be held at 9:00am on the first and second days of Passover, March 30 and 31, and on the seventh and eighth days, April 5 and 6. Yizkor will be recited on Tuesday, April 6, the eighth day of Passover. Please join us!

Pesach Workshops
 
Bring your questions with you on Sunday morning, March 14, as Rabbi Perkins and Cantor Bogomolni together present "Two Practical Pesach Workshops." From 9:30 to 10:00am, Cantor Bogomolni will take your questions concerning the preparations and celebration of Passover. From 10:00 to 10:30, Rabbi Perkins will discuss how to run a fun and friendly Seder. These two workshops will be packed with interesting and useful information, so take advantage of this opportunity! No need to sign up; just come and enjoy.

Passover Wine Sale
 
The Temple Aliyah Sisterhood is once again offering a wide selection of Passover wines to order from the convenience of your home. An order form with selected wines is included in this issue of "Coming Up," along with the complete list (over 100 choices!) of available wines to order. Don't delay, as the ordering deadline is Tuesday, March 16!
 
Mechirat Hametz       
 
This year, hametz may be sold on Sunday mornings following 9:00 minyan on March 21 and March 28 or by returning the hametz sale form included with this mailing to the synagogue office by 9:30am on Monday morning, March 29.
 
Religious School Passover Program 
 
In preparation for Passover, our Religious School will hold a morning of in-class learning and interactive model seders on Sunday, March 28.

Holiday Packages For College Students
 
Once again, our Sisterhood is sending out Passover packages to college students. Delight your college student(s) with a package from home. Please send our Sisterhood chairperson a parent's name and email; the student's name, email and college address, and a $12 check, payable to Temple Aliyah Sisterhood. Info should be mailed to Lynne Salzman, 30 Bridle Trail Road, Needham 02492. Although the official deadline has come and gone, we do have a few more packets available - but only if you act now!
