"45+,"
as it has come to be known, is a group of primarily more mature
members of the Congregation, many of whom are founding members,
who gather together several times throughout the year for educational
and social events.
Notwithstanding the group's name, all members
of the Congregation are invited to attend these events, which generally
take place on either a Saturday night or a Sunday afternoon. In
the past these have included group outings to theater, from the
Boston Theater District to suburban companies to the Jewish Theater
of New England at the JCC, nights of square dancing, and trips to
such locales as the JFK Museum. Often there are refreshments served
before or after the outings.
The group has taken on new leadership this year and hopes to broaden
its appeal and range of activities. Be sure to check the calendar
section for upcoming activities.
The group has recently begun a program of duplicate Bridge, with games every Monday night and classes on Tuesdays and Fridays, sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League.
