The NASHIR choir is the new singing group organized by and under the leadership of Cantor Bogomolni.

NASHIR is the Hebrew word for “Let us sing.” So far the group has sung at about six events in its first year. During the 2009/5770 High Holiday season, the group will sing at Selichot services and for Kol Nidre.

NASHIR welcomes new singers to join, with all levels of experience. The ability to read music is helpful but not required. Cantor G posts mp3 music files of individual parts to his web site, for listening or downloading, to help singers learn their parts. Rehearsals are held about every other week through the year, usually becoming weekly in the time before an event.

You may join the group “for the long haul” or for only one program or event. All you need is the love of singing and the willingness to participate. If you are interested, please contact the Cantor.
