A hearty mazal tov goes out to Temple members Sheila and Richard Wulf on the recent birth of their granddaughter and fourth grandchild, born to Rachel and Brian Silver.

May the new parents merit to raise her to a long and prosperous life of Torah, huppah, and good deeds.

The Art Show has begun! Tonight (Thursday) was opening night and Sponsors’ reception for the Art Show, our big fundraiser, and all we can say is “Wow! You gotta come to this!” There are beautiful original oils and watercolors, as well as numbered lithographs and posters. Support the Temple, support Israeli artists, get some great artwork for your home and/or office, and enjoy a terrific evening of socializing all at the same time. The main event, including a dessert reception and raffles, will take place this Saturday night, February 28, from 7-11 pm at the Temple.

The exhibit is also open for viewing and purchase of art works on Friday from 11-2 and on Sunday from 9-4.

No need to RSVP, just come. Admission is $20 per person, payable at the door.

Rabbi Perkins attended a special screening of the new Mel Gibson movie this week with other members of the Needham Clergy Association. His Dvar Torah this Shabbat will address reactions to the film. Everyone is encouraged to join us.

Also, following Shabbat services and kiddush, the Rabbi’s regular weekly study sessions of selections from Pirkei Avot (Sayings of the Fathers) will continue. All are invited to attend, even if you haven’t been to prior sessions.
