  • BARUCH DAYAN EMET

Our condolences go out to Jeffrey Stulin and Melinda Harrison on the loss of Jeffrey’s father, Jack Stulin. The funeral will be held on Friday, May 14th at 10:00 at Stanetsky’s in Brookline. The family will be sitting shiva Friday afternoon (12-5) and Sunday afternoon (12-6) at the home of Jeffrey’s sister, Rita Stulin, 1587 Centre Street, Newton.

May the Divince Presence comfort them, among all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

  • MEN’S CLUB “COMEDELI” NIGHT - SUNDAY 5/16
  •

So last Sunday you and the family took Mom out to a nice dinner. Do you really want to make her cook for you this Sunday night?! Come instead to the shul for a delicious deli dinner and comedy night. Paul Nardizzi, Robbie Prinz, and P.J. Walsh will be performing. Paul and Robbie are both Boston Comedy Festival winners, and both have appeared on Conan O’Brien. The evening will begin at 6:30 with a deli dinner. Admission is $18 per person. Everyone is welcome, but we’d love to have some idea how much food to prepare. RSVP to Jan Zidle at 781-444-8522, or via email to Stephen Baum. How can one evening be so funny, so delicious, so supportive of our Men’s Club, and still so considerate of Mom?

  • SIGN UP FOR THE NEXT MEAH SESSION
  •

We urge you to consider registering for the next two-year cycle for Meah, the program of Adult Education covering over 100 hours of study. This regional program with a “branch” here in Needham run jointly at Temple Aliyah and Temple Beth Shalom, should begin its fourth cycle this fall. However, due to the low number of registratrants so far, we run the risk of not having the program here in Needham next year. Those who have already taken the course have raved about the teachers, the texts, the cameraderie, and the intellectually charged atmosphere. For further information, you can check out more information at the Hebrew College web site, you can contact Terri, or you can get the application form online (pdf file).
