Coming Up This Week:  May 22 - 27

Sisterhood Book Group
Wednesday, May 25, 7:45 pm
Now you have extra time to read the first chapter of The Book of Jeremiah by Julie Zuckerman, a “novel-in-stories” that tells the story of awkward but endearing Jeremiah Gerstler—the son of Jewish immigrants, a brilliant political science professor, husband, and father. Spanning eight decades, the thirteen stories are interwoven with the Jewish experience of the 20th century: loss, troubles, and suffering as well as love, forgiveness, hope, and optimism. The book is available 1) at the Needham Library, 2) for purchase online, or 3) for pickup at a discounted author’s price at Aliza Cooperman’s home in Needham (email Aliza Cooperman to arrange pickup). Please note that additional chapters may be discussed in the fall.
