Melissa Rudman

As our Executive Director, Melissa is responsible for managing the synagogue budget and its physical plant, supervising our administrative personnel, and managing the day-to-day operations of the synagogue. She works in partnership with the Rabbi, the Cantor, and other professional and lay leadership. Melissa comes to Temple Aliyah after serving as Executive Director/Director of Congregational Learning at B’nai Tikvah in Canton, where she worked for the past 15 years. Aileen Landau

Aileen supervises both Gan Aliyah Preschool and Temple Tots programming for families with young children. She holds a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern University and a second Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, with an emphasis on Leadership and Advocacy, from Erikison Institute. Aileen has worked in the field of early childhood for over 25 years, as a teacher, parent educator, and as a director. She has 3 children, Bess, Skye, and Henry – and one cat (Alice). They are happy to be a part of the Temple Aliyah community
Joan Perlman

Joan has been in the field of Jewish education for over twenty years and has served as Education Director at several local synagogue schools before coming to Temple Aliyah. Joan is delighted to be working at the Mercaz Aliyah School as well as with the adult population in the community. She has both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Simmons University in Boston. Joan lives in Marlborough with her husband, Walter, her daughters, Ruth and
Samantha, and her two pups!
Elaine Sultana Berger (Lanie)

Elaine (Lanie) creates social and educational youth and teen programs at Temple Aliyah. She serves as the USY/Gesher advisor and launched the new Act Service Learning Fellowship for teens. Lanie supports Mishpacha Aliyah to host engaging community events and Jewish learning opportunities for families. She also works as a teacher in the Mercaz Aliyah religious school and tutors students for their B’Mitzvah ceremonies. Lanie was active in Jewish life on campus at UMD. Lanie recently completed her MA/EdM at the Hornstein program at Brandeis.
