Mental Health Initiative

Temple Aliyah’s Mental Health Initiative (MHI) was formed in 2017 and is comprised of passionate mental health professionals and advocates. Our goals are to lessen the stigma around any kind of mental / behavioral health issues or social-emotional challenges, bring community and caring to those dealing with these challenges, and help educate our congregants around mental health issues and resources.

If you are going through a difficult time, Temple Aliyah wants to be here to help and offer a caring community.  Whether it is spiritual support from our clergy, understanding from other members who have “been there,” or a place of peace surrounded by your community, Temple Aliyah is here for you.

Please know that our clergy are eager to be supportive of anyone who needs help or guidance. If you would like to be contacted by either Interim Rabbi Leslie Gordon or Cantor Jamie Gloth, please call the synagogue office at 781-444-8522.

We are proud to present our online Resource Guide . We hope you find it a compassionate and comprehensive guide, especially if you are first starting out on your journey or are simply at a loss as to where to turn.

If you would like to get involved with the MHI or have any questions, please contact MHI@templealiyah.com.

Please note: The Mental Health Initiative was created for the purpose of building support in our Temple Aliyah community for those experiencing challenging circumstances.
