Mah Nishtanah HaSeder Hazeh? ?מה נשתנה הסדר הזה
Tuesday, April 9, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
How shall we tell our story of liberation this Passover when over 100
hostages are still held in captivity in Gaza?
At this year’s seder perhaps we should double down on our traditions,
holding tight to the solid and familiar, and facing our current crisis in
historical context of having been redeemed from captivity before.
Or perhaps we should explicitly acknowledge that right now we do not feel
that God has brought us out “from slavery to freedom from sorrow to joy,
from thick darkness to a great light.”
In this session we will consider what if any changes we may want to make
to our traditional seder this year, and what we will want to hold onto.
Please bring your favorite Haggadah.
